And I’ve decided that I’m turning one of my seldom-used bank accounts into a vehicle fund account. And this entire check here is going straight into it.

My goal is just add a little bit over time, until one day: “Gee, I wish I could afford this moderately-decent 37-year old Corolla right now. Oh wait. I CAN!” Also using it as a doomsday car fund, for a major repair or loss of vehicle.

In reality this isn’t really something I need to do, as I could just use money from other accounts for whatever is desired, if viable, I GUESS. But my ultimate goal is save money for another impractical purchase, with the sort of illusion that it has no real impact on our savings at all. After all, it’s from the vehicle account! It’d be a crime NOT to spend it.
